Brightman Residence

This home on a one-acre site north of Dallas was originally built in the mid-90’s.  It was a fairly large home to begin with but needed some serious updating.  The owners wanted to extend the entire rear of the home back eight feet and add more living area to the kitchen, family room, study, master bedroom, upstairs game room, and the rear bedroom.  They also wanted to relocate the staircase to the rear of the house and open up the floor space in the foyer.  By doing this we were able to extend the bedroom that sits above the dining room into the space over the foyer, which was formerly a two story space.  The formal living room became a private study and the former study became a new, extended media room.
